APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Substrate Preparation
Before starting any work ensure that the base is:
Ÿ Sufficiently flat to permit the specified flatness of finished
tiling, bearing in mind the permissible thickness of the
adhesive.
Ÿ Suitable for tiling in the service conditions to which it will be
exposed.
Ÿ Surfaces to be tiled must be dry, clean and free from loose
material and contamination.
Allow the following drying times:
Ÿ Cement sand screed - 3 weeks
Ÿ Cement sand rendering - 2 weeks
Mixing
Add BRONZE STAR to clean water. Mix thoroughly until a
homogeneous lump-free consistency is obtained. Allow the
mixed adhesive to polymerise for 2-5 minutes and mix again for
30 seconds. The adhesive is ready-for-use and has a pot life of
1.5 hours. No further water should be added. Where mixing by
weight is not possible, volume mixing can be carried out at site in
the ratio of 1: 3.5 (water: powder)

APPLICATION
1. Spread not more than the area which can be tiled within the
open time of the adhesive.
2. The mixed adhesive is applied to the prepared surface with a
trowel and then combed through with a suitably sized square-
toothed notched trowel.
3. The tiles should be fixed within the open time of the adhesive
and pressed into place with a twisting and sliding action
ensuring solid bed fixing is achieved. The open time is
dependent on site conditions and will be extended in lower
temperatures and shortened at higher temperatures.
4. Check periodically that good contact is maintained with the
back of each tile.
5. Touch the adhesive ribs periodically and if a skin has formed,
remove the adhesive and apply a new layer.

DESCRIPTION
Sikadur-55 LP IN is a two part, low viscosity, moisture
insensitive injection liquid, based on high strength
epoxy resin specifically formulated for dry or damp
crack sealing. Suitable for use in hot and tropical cli-
matic conditions. Confirms to ASTM C881, Type II and
IV, Grade-1, Class F.
USES
To repair cracks by injection in structural concrete in
slabs, columns, beams, walls, foundations, etc.

For surface treatment of cracks in interior and exteri-
or slabs.

For roof slabs, parking lots and structures exposed to
pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
